POLICIES

These policies form part of the Object Archive Hire Agreement. All hirers are required to read and accept these terms before collection or delivery of hired objects.

HIRE PERIOD

Our standard hire period is 4 days unless otherwise arranged.

Objects must be returned by the agreed return date. Late returns may incur an additional hire fee.

Longer hire periods can be arranged subject to availability.

COLLECTION + RETURN

The hirer is responsible for arranging collection and return of all hired objects at their own expense unless otherwise agreed.

Please take note of how objects are packed on collection and return them in the same manner. Wherever possible, each object should be individually wrapped and separated using the supplied protective packing materials.

CARE + RESPONSIBILITY

The hirer accepts responsibility for all objects from the time they are collected or delivered until they are safely returned to Object Archive.

All objects must be handled with care, stored securely and returned in the same condition in which they were received.

Objects are inspected prior to collection and again on return. Any existing marks or damage will be noted before the hire begins.

DAMAGE, LOSS + REPLACEMENT

Any loss, breakage or damage may be charged at the cost of repair or the nominated replacement value.

Where an object is damaged, lost or destroyed, the hirer is responsible for notifying Object Archive as soon as possible.

USE OF OBJECTS

Objects must not be altered, painted, glued, drilled, cut or permanently fixed in any way without prior approval from Object Archive.

Please advise us in advance if objects will be used with food, liquids, candles, flame, water, outdoors or in any environment that may place them at additional risk.

Some objects may be unsuitable for particular uses due to their age, material, finish or fragility. Any specific handling requirements will be advised at the time of hire.

PAYMENT + CONFIRMATION

All bookings are subject to availability.

A booking is confirmed once the Hire Agreement has been signed and returned and payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed.

Hire fees and any other agreed charges must be paid according to the payment terms provided with the booking.

CANCELLATIONS

If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, please let us know as soon as possible.

Cancellation fees may apply where objects have already been reserved, prepared or held from other bookings. Any applicable fee will be advised as part of the booking terms.

FINAL IMAGERY + CREDIT

Where objects are used in photography or film, we always appreciate receiving final imagery where available.
